Awards Recognizing Outstanding
Biological Sciences Majors

The Gammex Research Award. The Gammex Corporation has generously provided the Department of Biological Sciences an endowment to recognize an outstanding junior or senior biological sciences major each year. This award is presented to a student, selected by the undergraduate committee of the department, that looks to the student's academic strengths, to their contributions to the university and department community, and to personal qualities such as maturity, integrity, and humanitarianism. The recipient of this award receives a $250 stipend, an individual plaque, and a departmental plaque that is prominently displayed in the Department of Biological Sciences.
