Requirements for Majors
Note: As of September 19, 2001, a new core curriculum was approved
for programs leading to a bachelor of science in the College of Arts and
Sciences, which includes biological sciences majors. The new core is effective
Fall 2002 and described in the table below.
Graduation Requirements:
One hundred and twenty-eight (128) credit hours of course work distributed
in the core and major requirements, including 42 credit hours of upper
division courses. A student may choose to have a minor but a minor concentration
is not required. Thirty (30) credits must be completed at Marquette during
the senior year.
An attractive feature of Marquette undergraduate training is the diversity
of courses included in the College of Arts and Sciences' core curriculum,
ranging from philosophy to a study of a foreign language.
